March 2019 Round Table Discussion

Our first Round Table Discussion was on Embracing Diversity with focus on classism. We learned much about each other as well as much about classism. We created a safe space where the community were able to openly discuss a topic that has effect on all of us. Our conversation stemmed from classism with ethnic/race group to classism in our school system. Some shared on their experiences where they were stereotyped based on appearances, mainly dress code. It was a great ice-breaking conversation.

• Diversity enriches your life

• Classism is in every race

• Class impacts the respect one is given
